Un an après sa présentation, l’éditeur Open Source a enfin publié le code source de son offre. Cela se concrétise par la création du projet OpenShift Origin, qui sera également le nom de baptême de la communauté associée.

La communauté open source d’OpenStack a également fondé leur architecture de référence sur Ubuntu.
